In the gentle embrace of creativity, and the pain of loss, there exists a heartfelt person that touches the lives of those who need it most. Today, I'm privileged to introduce you to someone I know personally, Shakira Culberson- the business owner of a small business called "Lasting Memories" and a compassionate soul with a mission close to her heart.

Shakira found her inspiration in a deeply personal experience- a miscarriage at 16 weeks gestation that left her yearning for a meaningful way to remember her baby boy, Christopher. Her journey began with a search for a meaningful piece to put beside his ashes. She found something she loved which led her to craft something herself, with her own style and love.

Shakira wants to provide comfort to local moms who have experienced similar heartache, offering them something special. She is dedicated to crafting butterfly angels, wood slices, and more. The butterfly is a symbol of both loss and new beginnings.
