3 Latte Recipes To Try This Fall
Honestly, Fall is the best time of the year. Beautiful leaves, comfy clothes, bonfires, what's not to love? With the price of coffee being a bit pricey these days, I've got three latte recipes that are perfect for this time of year and you can easily do these at home.
1. Autumn Spice Latte
A warm and delicious latte made without pumpkin.
Ingredients: For Autumn Spice Syrup
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
4 whole cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
4 whole black peppercorns
1 whole nutmeg
1-inch piece of lemon zest
For Latte
1/2 cup whole milk
1 tablespoon of Autumn spice syrup
1/3 cup freshly brewed espresso
Ground cinnamon
Step One: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine water and sugar. Add black peppercorns, cloves, cinnamon sticks, lemon zest, and nutmeg. Stir until the sugar has dissolved. Bring heat to a low simmer for 3-4 minutes, then remove from the heat and let it cool.
Step Two: In another saucepan over medium-low heat, warm the milk. Use a wire whisk to stir the milk briskly to create foam.
Step Three: Brew espresso. To a large mug, add the syrup and espresso. then pour in the milk, restraining the foam with a spoon. Spoon the foam on top. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
2. Maple Cinnamon Latte
Ingredients:
180ml of milk
120ml coffee
1 Tablespoon maple syrup
1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 cinnamon stick to garnish
Step One: Pour milk into a jar, close the lid and shake for 10-15 seconds, until foam forms.
Step Two: Remove the lid and microwave for 45 seconds. Make sure to keep an eye on it.
Step Three: Pour your hot coffee into a mug, stir in the maple syrup and cinnamon.
Step Four: Add the milk with the foam on top.
Step Five: Sprinkle cinnamon and add a cinnamon stick to garnish.
3. S'mores Latte
Ingredients:
Chocolate sauce
3-4 mini marshmallows (or 1 large marshmallow)
1 graham cracker (crushed)
1 Tablespoon coffee
1 teaspoon brown sugar
Milk (As much as you'd like)
Whipped cream
Step One: Pour two swirls of chocolate sauce around the sides of your mug.
Step Two: Add marshmallows, graham crackers, coffee, and brown sugar in the mug. Whisk until it's well-blended.
Step Three: Add 8 ounces of coffee and add milk to suit your taste.
Step Four: Top with foamed milk, whipped cream, crushed graham crackers, a pinch of brown sugar, and marshmallows to serve.
